Savor, located at 6676 S. Parker Road, has officially opened in the space previously occupied by Old Chicago, which permanently closed in early 2025. The new restaurant combines traditional American steakhouse favorites with Italian, Mediterranean, French, and other international influences, offering lunch, happy hour, and dinner.
Leading the kitchen is Executive Chef Muthu Pandy, a culinary veteran originally from India who has worked in hotels, restaurants, and cruise lines around the world. His international experience plays a central role in the menu, which combines familiar steakhouse offerings with ingredients and techniques from different culinary traditions. The kitchen emphasizes preparing its dishes from scratch, including freshly made breads, pastries, sauces, ice cream, and even intricate garnishes.
Savor's lunch menu features French onion soup, lobster bisque, salads, sandwiches, burgers, artisan pizzas, and pasta dishes. Dinner expands the selection with appetizers such as stuffed mushrooms, arancini, and smoked salmon fried burrata.

Steaks are a major focus of the evening menu, with Black Angus New York strip, ribeye, filet mignon, and porterhouse cuts available alongside lamb, pork, chicken, and seafood. Guests can customize their selections with house-made sauces, including peach bourbon BBQ, black peppercorn, and garlic butter. Side dishes include rosemary potatoes, mushroom risotto, truffle steak fries, creamed spinach, and macaroni and cheese.
The restaurant also features an extensive dessert program, with everything made in-house. Offerings include chocolate bread pudding, apple tarte tatin, crème brûlée, and house-made ice cream in flavors such as black currant chocolate, gingerbread, butterscotch, and Irish cream.
Beyond the menu, Savor features a main dining room accommodating 126 guests, a semi-private dining area for up to 42 people, and a spacious bar with 18 seats and additional high-top tables. The bar serves the full restaurant menu and welcomes walk-in guests. Its beverage program includes specialty cocktails, beer, and wines from local and international producers. Featured cocktails include the Butcher's Old Fashioned, prepared with tallow-infused bourbon, honey, and Angostura bitters, and the Palisade Sunset, a peach margarita with agave and a Tajín rim.
According to co-owner Veeranjaneyulu Kakumanu, the restaurant was created to provide the surrounding community with a dining option suited for everything from casual lunches and happy hours to family dinners and special occasions. The opening introduces a new restaurant concept to a familiar commercial space following Old Chicago's closure in 2025.
