Former Brewery Space is Being Transformed Into Escape Room and Live Game Show Venue
DENVER, CO — A former brewery in Denver's RiNo area of Five Points is preparing to reopen as a new entertainment destination, bringing two interactive concepts together under one roof.

The Escape Game and Great Big Game Show are nearing completion on a 12,300-square-foot venue at 2620 Walnut Street, formerly home to 10 Barrel Brewing. The two concepts are targeting an opening for early November 2026.
The project is transforming the former brewery into an entertainment facility featuring six themed escape rooms, three live-hosted game show studios and several gathering spaces for visitors and private events.
The building originally housed 10 Barrel Brewing, which closed its Denver location in late 2022. The property, owned by real estate investment firm EDENS, has remained vacant since the brewery's departure.
According to Denver building permits, the project involves converting the existing brewery from restaurant and industrial occupancy into a special amusement assembly facility. The city issued a commercial construction permit in June 2026 with a listed construction valuation of $555,000.
Renovations include interior demolition, new partitions, ceilings, finishes and fixtures to accommodate reception areas, offices, lounges and game rooms. The project also includes updates to existing restrooms, relocation of a staircase and replacement of a former garage door opening with a new storefront.

Several features from the original building are being retained, including the existing mezzanine, former bar area and rooftop deck. The building's exterior structure will largely remain unchanged.
The Escape Game will occupy six themed rooms where groups work together to complete missions by solving puzzles, finding clues and overcoming challenges within a set time limit. Experiences offered by the company at its other locations include prison escapes, treasure hunts, spy missions and other immersive adventures.
Great Big Game Show will introduce a different type of entertainment to the building, allowing participants to compete in a television-style game show with a live host.
Each approximately 60-minute session divides contestants into two teams competing in multiple rounds of rotating mini-games. Challenges include trivia, strategy, speed tests, physical activities and games of chance, with studio lighting, buzzers and sound effects recreating the atmosphere of a televised competition.
The concept offers more than 17 rotating mini-games, allowing visitors to experience different challenges during repeat visits. Studios generally accommodate groups of two to 14 participants, with larger groups able to use multiple rooms.

Beyond the games themselves, the new venue will feature a central lounge, mezzanine and rooftop gathering areas. Plans also include private dining and event spaces capable of accommodating larger celebrations and corporate gatherings, with reported event capacity reaching approximately 150 people.
The Escape Game was founded in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2014 and has expanded to more than 50 locations nationwide. The company produces its own immersive environments and game components through a 60,000-square-foot production facility.
The Great Big Game Show launched in 2023 as an expansion of the company's interactive entertainment offerings.
The new Denver venue will be The Escape Game's second Colorado location, following its existing operation at Park Meadows in Lone Tree. It will also mark Great Big Game Show's first Colorado location.
The redevelopment adds another entertainment-focused use to the surrounding area, joining nearby destinations such as F1 Arcade while bringing activity back to a commercial building that has been vacant for nearly four years.
