Nana’s Dim Sum Continues Expansion With New Location Planned at 8th & Colorado

DENVER, CO — Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings is continuing to expand, with another Denver restaurant now planned as part of the 8th & Colorado development.

805 N. Albion St Building K Exterior

The restaurant is planned for 805 N. Albion Street, Building K, a location Nana’s currently lists on its website among its future locations as “8th & Colorado.” The new restaurant would join a growing footprint for the concept, which currently lists locations in Denver, Boulder, Aurora, Central Park, Parker, Colorado Springs, Longmont, Scarsdale, New York, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Additional future locations are also listed in Golden, Colorado; Hoboken, New Jersey; and West Hartford, Connecticut, while another Denver location in the Golden Triangle is listed as opening soon.

New plans submitted to the City of Denver provide a closer look at what Nana’s has planned for the 8th & Colorado restaurant. The project would build out approximately 5,412 square feet of currently empty commercial space into a new restaurant. The tenant improvement would include new interior partitions, finishes and furnishings along with a new kitchen and associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.

Plans show a substantial dining area wrapping around a central portion of the restaurant, along with a bar and dedicated kitchen and back-of-house areas. The plans list a total occupant load of 289 people and provide three exits.

City records place the total construction valuation at approximately $245,000, including $100,000 for the primary construction work, $50,000 for electrical work, $35,000 for plumbing, $30,000 for mechanical work and another $30,000 for air conditioning and refrigeration. The plans do not propose adding square footage to the existing building.

The restaurant would also have access to 18 parking spaces identified in the permit application, including 16 standard spaces, one compact space and one accessible space. One bicycle parking space is also listed.

Nana’s menu centers heavily around dumplings and dim sum, including xiao long bao, truffle soup dumplings, pan-fried pork buns, shu mai and shrimp dumplings. The menu also includes shared plates, noodle and fried rice dishes, soups and larger entrées such as Peking duck.

The 8th & Colorado project is not yet permitted for construction. The building application, filed under record 2026-LOG-0007583, is currently listed by the City of Denver as Review in Progress. An opening date for the new location was not included in the permit documents, although Nana’s currently categorizes the restaurant as a future location.
