ALDI Files Concept Plans for First Two Denver Grocery Store Locations

DENVER, CO — ALDI has taken its first public step toward opening stores within Denver city limits, with concept plans now filed for two proposed grocery locations in the city.

Proposed ALDI Locations Inside the City & County of Denver

The proposals includes two new ALDI stores at 9111 E. 40th Avenue in the Central Park neighborhood and 18453 E. 57th Avenue near the intersection of East 57th Avenue and Tower Road in far northeast Denver. Both projects are currently under review through the City and County of Denver's concept plan process.

The Central Park location is planned as a 19,432-square-foot grocery store with beer and wine sales on approximately 2.23 acres at the southeast corner of Interstate 70 and Central Park Boulevard. The proposal includes 109 parking spaces and would be located alongside several recently announced national retailers.

The second proposal calls for a 19,957-square-foot ALDI store with beer and wine sales on a 2.37-acre site at East 57th Avenue and Tower Road. Plans include 90 parking spaces, including accessible parking for customers and employees.

ALDI announced earlier this year that it would expand into Colorado, bringing the discount grocery chain's smaller-format stores and private-label business model to the state. While additional Colorado locations have already been announced, these concept plan submissions provide the first public look at where the company's initial stores within Denver city limits could be built.

Both proposals remain in the early planning stages and will require additional city review and approvals before construction can begin.
