Project Overview
The new facility will occupy a renovated commercial space totaling roughly 9,000 square feet. Plans call for a teaching kitchen, flexible event space, and upgraded utilities to support a wide range of programming. Permits filed with the city note modifications to millwork, plumbing connections for commercial appliances, and updated electrical distribution and lighting.
Uses and Programming
Food Lab’s Denver location is designed to host:
Public cooking classes
Team-building and corporate events
Kids’ camps and after-school programs
Private dinners and gatherings
The addition of the Platt Park location will expand Food Lab’s reach beyond its original Boulder campus, adding another culinary-focused destination to the South Pearl Street corridor.
Looking Ahead
Once complete, the Food Lab Denver campus will bring new life to an existing commercial property while introducing a unique combination of education, food, and event programming to the neighborhood.
